How long do ultrasound results take to get back to Doctor?
When will I get my results? After your scan, the radiologist or sonographer will examine the images further, then prepare a report. This will be sent to the clinican who referred you. If this was your GP, you can expect the report to be available at your surgery within 10 to 14 days.

Ultrasound images are not as detailed as those from CT or MRI scans. Ultrasound cannot tell whether a tumor is cancer. Its use is also limited in some parts of the body because the sound waves cant go through air (such as in the lungs) or through bone.
