Can the bank trace a transaction?

Yes. If your transfer isnt delivered within the window you were promised, you can request a trace on your transaction using the banks SWIFT code. A SWIFT code is an ID that banks use when sending wire transfers. With this number, your bank can determine whether the deposit is on hold or in progress.

Can someone use your PIN number without your card?

Fraudsters can still use your debit card even if they dont have the card itself. They dont even need your PIN—just your card number. If youve used your debit card for an off-line transaction (a transaction without your PIN), your receipt will show your full debit card number.
